The First Week in Business
We have officially completed our First Week Open for Business! Want some Numbers? I am pleased to say, we have 51 Signed Consignors. Of those that have already sent or brought in wares, 19 had sales over the first 5 open days! We sold 40 items to 28 people.
I am pleased! It can only get better! I have 5 consignors that made more than $20 the first week. two are close to $50! I am so excited!
Thanks to everyone who took this incredible first step with us! More fun to come, I promise!
Now, getting away from numbers, it’s time to fill everyone in on what’s to come at The HodgePodgery. We are working on getting some classes together as you may well know. We have some fun and some practical ideas. You’ve seen Jess’ posts about Appalachian Brewing Co’s BrewFest in September, the BYOB Classes and the Intro to Upcycling. We informally poll our customers as well as our consignors for more ideas and what they’d like to have. Knitting and sewing classes have been atthe top of the lists so far, along with Jewelry classes. Those who would like to teach a class, drop us a line with your ideas. Keep in mind ideal class size, materials, and fitting in to our ideals as best as possible. We need practical classes as well as fun ones.
We are waiting for word from the Mayor’s office re: our ribbon cutting ceremony so we can plan a to-do around it. Keep an eye out!
Things we’ve been thinking of :
Some of the items we would like to see soon are:
Men’s things (belts, ties, hats, clothes, desk sets etc)
Beer themed for ABC’s BeerFest in September
School Gear (Hats, Backpacks, Lunch bags, Messennger Bags, clothes)
Also, remember Holidays come very quickly!! Start thinking Gearing Up!
Ok. Let’s see what happens at HoPo this week!!
~~~Here’s to a great
