HoPo Shindig and Ribbon Cutting

October 2, 2009 will be the HoPo Shindig and ribbon cutting. Mayor Reed will be at the HoPo to cut the ribbon at 4pm and our open house and shindig will be from 4-7 at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center and at the HoPo. Join us for demos, food, beverages, and music by Chris Novak and Kevin Neidig .  Bring all of your HoPo buddies and meet the consignors!

This will also be the launch party for the Midtown Passport. The Midtown Passport is a local business compilation created to give back to the Midtown community for shopping local! Join us as we CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES! Invitations will be sent out via email, facebook and twitter. What- your not on our facebook or twitter? Get with the times and join!

Novak & Neidig: Music from Folkadelia – the Live Debut; Friday, October 2nd @ 5pm

Chris Novak (www.chrisnovak.org) is an accomplished musician and teacher; formally trained, yet schooled in the Blues. Funk, New-age, Classical, Country and R&B are seamlessly weaved into his live performances and he uses this highly energized diversity on stage and in the studio as a producer for Barnfunk Productions.

Kevin Neidig (www.kevinneidig.com) has been a staple in the Harrisburg area for years, performing Folk, Bluegrass and Americana Rock with virtuosity and crystal-clear vocals. His shows, both solo and with the band “Voxology” (www.voxology.com) captivate fans and musicians alike.

Now Novak and Neidig are coming together on a collaborative project titled “Folkadelia”. This upcoming CD combines Kevin’s earthy, acoustic stylings and soaring vocals with Chris’ production wizardry and blues-oriented, psychedelic keyboards. Individual songs from the CD will be released online at www.chrisnovak.org and www.kevinneidig.com over the next several months.
