Project: Inside Out Skirt with Megan Slaboda

Don’t be scared of your sewing machine anymore. It is your friend. In this class you will become more confident and comfortable with your machine and make a cute skirt too. Bring your own fabric/trim to show your creative style. Use some old garments to recycle if you are so inclined. Skirt is a drawstring and will be measured to fit your body.
This is a half day workshop and we will break mid class for lunch. We will provide you with a list of local restaurants to choose from or you can visit the Broad Street Market. For less than 10 dollars an hour you can tap my brain on sewing questions and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow seamstresses to be.
Have fun, relax and enjoy as we work together to create a fun handmade garment styled to your own liking!
Please bring:
Sewing machine (we have 2 in house machines if needed, but we recommend you become comfortable with yours)
2 yards of wool blend or cotton blend fabric plus ½ yard of fabric for the bottom tier (total 2.5 yards)
thread to match your fabric
2 yards of grosgrain ribbon 1 inch thick or thicker
optional: chalk for fabric marking and 12 inch see through ruler
